NFER® Technology Yields High Accuracy Tracking with a Single Locator Receiver

Huntsville, Alabama October 7, 2011

Many indoor wireless tracking technologies require a complicated infrastructure to locate a transmitting device (tag).  Although Q-Track’s Near Field Electromagnetic Ranging (NFER®) technology employs multiple Locator-Receivers to provide wide area coverage, each individual Locator-Receiver is capable of stand-alone, high-accuracy. In the video demonstration, Q-Track configured a single Locator-Receiver deployment of NFER® RTLS for high accuracy (4in or 10cm) tracking within a 30in x 42in precision zone, and lesser accuracy outside the zone. This ability to configure NFER® RTLS for high accuracy where it is needed most is a hallmark of NFER® systems.
