Simulated Dosimeter

See Also: Dosimulation™

Q-DoseThe QDose™ Simulated Dosimeter senses and responds to virtual radiation that you control. Q-Track’s Near-Field Electromagnetic Ranging (NFER®) Real-Time Location System (RTLS) tracks trainees’ locations in real time – just like GPS, only much more accurate.  Dose and rate change when trainees move near simulated sources that you create.

Trainees receive realistic dose, rate, and alarms from their Q-Dose™ Simulated Dosimeters in response to their location within the virtual radiation environment. After an exercise, you can replay location, dose, and rate data so trainees can review their performance and correct their behavior in a post-job critique.

Q-Track’s breakthrough system provides the most realistic radiation worker training available: minimizing radiation worker exposure, enhancing worker safety, and reducing utility costs.

 Features:

  • Emulates the Mirion DMC-2000 Personal Dosimeter.
  • Accommodates trainer-programmable alarm thresholds.
  • Provides audible, visual, and vibration alarms.
  • Enables real-time feedback of simulated dose, rate, battery, and alarm status.
  • Includes 14 hour USB rechargeable battery.

Q-Dose™ Example Display Screens

Q-Dose Display Screen Examples

The brightly-lit and easily visible top-mounted display and single button interface emulate the real-world dosimeter functionality. As workers learn how to avoid unnecessary radiation they also learn to operate the dosimeters they will be using in the plant.

The Q-Dose™ takes radiation training to an entirely new level. If you train nuclear workers to be aware of radiation, with an ALARA goal; you need Q-Tracks’ Dosimulation™ System and the Q-Dose™ Simulated Dosimeter in your facility!
